Learn how to add disclaimers to your reports and statements in Reach Reporting.
Adding a Disclaimer in Company Settings
You can set up a default disclaimer that can be used across all your reports and statements. This disclaimer can be up to 750 characters and is useful for providing additional information or legal notices.
To add a disclaimer:
- Open the company and click the gear icon in the lower left to access Company Settings.
- Navigate to Report Settings.
- Enter your disclaimer text in the Disclaimer field (up to 750 characters).
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Once saved, this disclaimer can be automatically pulled into your statements and reports using live text.


Adding a Disclaimer to a Statement
You can add a disclaimer directly to any financial statement, which will appear at the bottom of each page of the statement.
To add a disclaimer to a statement:
- Navigate to the statement and Edit.
- Scroll down to Additional Settings in the bottom right.
- Click on the Disclaimer tab.
- You can either:
- Type in a custom disclaimer directly in the text field, or
- Type @Disclaimer to automatically pull in the disclaimer from your Company Settings.
- Adjust the font, font size, color, and alignment if needed.
- Click Save to apply the disclaimer to your statement.
The disclaimer will appear at the bottom of every statement page.



Adding a Disclaimer to a Report Using Live Text
You can also add a disclaimer to a report page using the live text feature. The live text disclaimer will automatically update in the report if you make any changes to the disclaimer in the Company Settings.
To add a disclaimer using live text:
- Open the report in the report builder.
- Click Live Text in the left toolbar.
- Scroll down to Company Info.
- Locate the Disclaimer option.
- Click and drag the disclaimer onto the page where you want it to appear.
- Format the text as needed using the text formatting tools at the top of the page.

Key Benefits of Using Disclaimers
- Consistency: Set your disclaimer once in the Company Settings and use it across all reports and statements.
- Automatic Updates: When using live text or the @Disclaimer tag, any changes to the disclaimer in Company Settings will automatically update in all reports and statements.
- Flexibility: You can also create custom disclaimers for specific statements or reports when needed.
