Learn how to quickly switch a user or a client.
To change a user to a client or a client to a user, you must have the role of workspace owner. If you are the owner, you can follow these steps to make the necessary changes.
First, click on the gear icon located in the upper right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select the "Workspace Members" option. This will take you to the workspace members page.
On the workspace members page, you will see a list of all the users associated with the workspace. Locate the user that you want to change and click on the gear icon next to their name. A menu will appear with various options. Select the "Change to Client" option from the menu.
It is important to note that this option will only be available if the user is only associated with workspaces owned by you.
By selecting the "Change to Client" option, you will initiate the process of converting the user into a client. This means that they will have a different set of permissions and access within the workspace. They will no longer have the same level of control and functionality as a user.
Similarly, if you want to change a client to a user, you can follow these steps. First, expand the company that the client is assigned to by clicking on it. Then, locate and click on the "Manage Clients" option. A pop-up window will appear, displaying a list of clients associated with that company.
Find the gear icon next to the client's name and select the "Change to User" option from the dropdown menu. This will initiate the process of converting the client into a user. It's important to note that this option will only be available if the client has already accepted the original invitation.
