How to use the Client Portal for collaborative planning
The Client Portal serves as an excellent platform for collaborative planning with your clients and team members. By including budgets and forecasts along with other shared business insights, you can keep everyone informed for better decision-making.
Setting Up Collaborative Planning:
- Create Your Projections - Start by using Reach Reporting's 3-way planning and forecasting tool to create single-year or multi-year projections. Be sure to check out our videos and Knowledge Center articles on budgeting and forecasting to learn more about this feature.
- Set Status Tags - Once your budget or forecast is created, set the appropriate status tag to indicate the planning progress. You can also clear the tag or check the status history to track planning evolution.


Customizing Access and Organization:
- User Permissions: Customize access for individual users by granting either editing or view-only privileges

- Folder Organization: Organize your budgets and forecasts into folders for easy navigation

- Centralized Hub: Your Client Portal becomes a centralized, secure hub for all shared business insights
Collaborative Features:
- Active Participation: Users with editing privileges can actively participate in business planning, with their changes updating existing budgets and forecasts upon saving
- Comment System: Even with view-only access, users can enhance planning efficiency by leaving comments to track planning decisions. The comment history helps clients and team members understand the reasoning behind specific planning strategies


By leveraging budgets and forecasts within the Client Portal, you create a transparent, collaborative environment that promotes better decision-making for both clients and team members.
